I Have A Bagillion Books. Now What?

One of my first steps to getting organized: Classroom Organizer.

This is an amazing...and don't forget FREE....online cataloging resource for classroom libraries. I was using librarything.com, which is great for inventory purposes, but Classroom Organizer allows me to log the books, lexile, reading level, page number, and so much more. It also lets me create student accounts so that my students can check out books themselves. When they return the book, they can rate the book, leave a review, and comment on the condition of the book!

Completely Incredible!

AND! I can scan the barcodes with my phone to import the books into the system! AMAZING!

New Year = Defeat of the Pile Princess

It's almost that time of year again! And this time I really am going to keep with this blogging thing! Yes, the madness is about to begin, but this year I'm going to try to tame some of it by implementing a massive organization movement in my Language Arts classes!

That's RIGHT! I, Mrs. McFarland, "Queen of Clutter", "Mistress of Mayhem", "Pile Princess", and "Stacking Sergeant" is going to CLEAN HER ROOM!

Not only am I going to clean, but I'm going to get organized in every way possible. No more stacking, piling, clutter, and mayhem!" And there is no better time than the present!

So, onward I go, searching the great mysteries of cleanliness. Research, planning, structuring, and, soon, implementation!

Wish me luck!
